Anne Keyes Pecht, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at NHC Healthcare of Greenville, SC.

Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Loren J. and Beatrice Currier Keyes. She attended New Canaan High School and Antioch College, where she graduated with a BA in Child Development.

After her marriage to Karl Pecht ’54, she lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and Davenport, Iowa, before moving to Winter Park, Florida, where she lived for many years. She worked at the First Congregational Church of Winter Park, where she was also a member.

In 2005 she moved to Taylors, South Carolina, where she joined the congregation of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She loved bridge, golf, and reading as well as time with family and friends. She was resilient, charming and generous. People loved her positive approach to life, her accepting nature and her selfless and kind friendship she gave to everyone she met.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Pecht (Georg Verhoeven) of Tubingen, Germany; Amy Pecht (David Turner) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; and Elizabeth (Glenn) Sherlock of Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as four grandchildren, Tim Sherlock, Cara Sherlock Eaton, Alexa Pecht and Louisa Pecht.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Myron Keyes, and sister, Rebecca Keyes Strickman. She lived a life of many blessings, including the love of her daughters, grandchildren, family and many, many friends. The family is grateful to the many angels who assisted with her care, including Amanda Gunter, the staff at the Woodlands at Furman, NHC Greenville and Interim Hospice.

A memorial service was August 2, at 1:30pm at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1860 Reid School Road in Taylors, South Carolina.
