David A. Johnson was born on October 16, 1935 and passed away on July 22, 2019. David was a resident of North Providence, Rhode Island.
He graduated in 1958 from Antioch College and attended the University of Chicago and Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago. He started his Unitarian Universalist ministry in Bloomington, IN, then went on to Pittsburgh, PA; Tucson, AZ; and Brookline, MA, followed by a period of interim ministries.
He was very active in social justice issues, and marched with Martin Luther King in Selma, AL. He loved books and history.
Survivors include his spouse, Julie Coulter, of Providence, RI.
