Linda B. Michalowski passed away in her home in the company of family and friends after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer on October 18, 2018.
She had retired from the California Community Colleges where she was Vice Chancellor of Student Services and Special Programs. Her work there was revered as she aided so many students who benefitted from her advocacy and by her colleagues throughout the state for her tireless work to lead the Community College System in its service to its constituencies during her 26 year career.
Linda is survived by her daughter Terra Michalowski and Terra’s husband Anatolii Tokmantcev; her sister Judy Michalowski and Judy’s husband Barry Wasserman; and many beloved family members in her hometown of New Britain, Connecticut. Linda’s family and her many dear friends will sorely miss her. She made so many major contributions to the enrichment of the lives of all who knew her.
