SUMMARY:Efrim Manuel Menuck and Tashi Dorji Present BLOOM AND RUIN at the Foundry Theater
DESCRIPTION:Get Tickets\n \n Season Ticket Packages\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n BLOOM & RUIN is the collaboration between Efrim Manuel Menuck\, co-founder of Godspeed You! Black Emperor\, and Bhutanese-born guitarist and improviser Tashi Dorji. Their debut album\, Two Liberations\, draws from the traditions of free improvisation\, experimental rock\, and contemporary drone music. The album explores the possibility of beauty amid collapse\, offering music that is at once elegiac and defiant.  \nTwo Liberations\, was released in 2026 on The Garrote. \nEfrim Manuel Menuck of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Tashi Dorji have come together to create BLOOM AND RUIN. “A journey that is part lament\, part rallying cry\, part ritual… Unfolding in waves of soaring drone and crystallized/fractured guitar… The explorations of Dorji and Menuck feel cinematic\, building and unraveling in real time… Yielding a most triumphant spectral protest.” says The Garrote. \nEfrim Manuel Menuck is a Canadian musician\, composer\, guitarist\, singer\, and producer based in Montreal. He is a co-founder of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra. Menuck has also released solo recordings and worked on film and soundprojects. His work includes guitar\, voice\, electronics\, composition\, and recording. Through his bands and collaborations\, he has worked with musicians from the fields of improvisation\, experimental music\, and contemporary composition. He has released music through Constellation Records and other independent labels. His most recent collaborations include work with the guitarist Tashi Dorji\, with whom he formed BLOOM & RUIN. \nTashi Dorji is a Bhutanese-born\, Asheville-based experimental guitarist whose fiercely intuitive improvisations have carved out a unique space in the contemporary avant-garde andimprovised music. His expansive discography includes deeply felt solo works like Stateless (2020)\, We Will Be Wherever the Fires Are Lit (2024)\, and his newest album Low Clouds Hang\, This Land Is on Fire (2026) on Drag City. Dorji is one half of MANAS\, the dynamic improvising duo with drummer Thom Nguyen\, and a founding member of the free jazz trio KUZU\, alongside saxophonist Dave Rempis and drummer Tyler Damon. \n \n Get Tickets\n \n Season Ticket Packages

SUMMARY:Mad River Theater Works Presents: We’re Gonna Die at the Foundry Theater
DESCRIPTION:Get Tickets\n \n Season Ticket Packages\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n “Sly\, weird and thoroughly winning … Its forthright acknowledgement that life can be a rough business is bracing\, funny and\, yes\, consoling.”— New York Times \nWe’re Gonna Die\, written by Young Jean Lee\, is a non-musical/non-play/non-concert that is not about dying. It’s a celebration of the things we do\, say\, and sing to keep ourselves going as we hurtle toward the finish line. Through a series of stories and songs both hilarious and heartbreaking\, We’re Gonna Die offers proof positive that being alive is about more than just awaiting the inevitable.  \nThis is the second Ohio production of We’re Gonna Die\, the first was at the Wexner Center in Columbus in October of 2013 by Young Jean Lee and her band Future Wife.  \nIn August 2015\, a production was part of David Byrne’s Meltdown takeover series at Southbank Centre in London. It featured David Byrne as the lead singer while Lee performed the monologues\, with Future Wife performing.  \nIn this production\, produced in partnership with Mad River Theater Works\, regional talent will take the stage; the music will be performed by NOVENA with Emma Woodruff as lead singer\, the monologues will be done by several actors\, and the show directed by Justin Simons.  \nIt’s time to get real and rock out about the one thing we all have in common: WE’RE GONNA DIE. Playwright Young Jean Lee blends storytelling\, stand-up\, music\, and theater into a funny\, sweet\, and darkly weird song cycle that lets us know we may be miserable\, but at least we won’t be alone. Boldly exploring the less awesome moments of life with outrageous humor and powerful insight\, this Obie-award winning cabaret-style event moves audiences to a charged collective catharsis. Come experience the smartest and most life-affirming way to contemplate the inevitable! \nYoung Jean Lee has been called ‘the most adventurous downtown playwright of her generation’ by the New York Times and here at Company One Theatre\, we agree wholeheartedly. With stories and pop songs\, WE’RE GONNA DIE will break your heart and put it back together again. \nWe’re Gonna Die is a non-musical/non-play/non-concert that is not about dying. It’s a celebration of the things we do\, say\, and sing to keep ourselves going as we hurtle toward the finish line.  \nJoe’s Pub (2011): Premiered in April 2011 in New York City\, performed by Young Jean Lee with the band Future Wife and directed by Paul Lazar. \nLincoln Center (2012 & 2013): Staged at LCT3’s Claire Tow Theater for limited runs (September 2012 and August 2013). \nLondon (2015): Featured David Byrne singing and Young Jean Lee performing monologues at the Southbank Centre in August 2015.  \nFuture Wife’s debut album\, We’re Gonna Die was released August 6\, 2013. It features members of various New York projects\, including David Byrne\, Laurie Anderson\, Adam Horovitz\, Kathleen Hanna\, Sarah Neufeld\, Colin Stetson\, Drew Daniel and Martin Schmidt of Matmos\, Cloud Becomes Your Hand\, San Fermin\, Field Guides\, and Landlady\, in monologue and musical roles. \nIn August 2015\, a production was part of David Byrne’s Meltdown takeover series at Southbank Centre in London. It featured David Byrne as the lead singer while Lee performed the monologues\, with Future Wife performing. Young Jean Lee’s show\, We’re Gonna Die\, has the aspiration of sharing a remedy for loneliness\, one that isn’t too flashy or instantly life altering.  It is an answer so simple in its obviousness that one wonders why we can’t all readily except it’s premise more frequently. \nWe are all going to die. \n \n Get Tickets\n \n Season Ticket Packages

SUMMARY:The Antioch School Spring Musical at the Foundry Theater
DESCRIPTION:At The Antioch School\, education is centered on the belief that children learn best through play\, curiosity\, and self-discovery.

Childhood is seen as a uniquely wonderful time in our lives. It is celebrated and respected\, rather than treated as training for adulthood. \nWe prioritize hands-on experiences that encourage independent thinking\, creativity\, and problem-solving\, allowing children to explore at their own pace.

Our holistic learning approach integrates academic subjects across the curriculum and values emotional\, physical\, and intellectual growth equally\, recognizing that all forms of intelligence are important. \nEvery Spring\, the Antioch School Older Group classroom produces a unique and original student-led musical.
