SUMMARY:Getting to the Root Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Getting to the Root: 2-Day Intensive Workshop on Racial justice\nGetting To The Root is a workshop where participants will experience a humanistic process for laying a foundation to explore how we have been socialized and conditioned to think about race and racism.\n \nThis intensive\, interactive process challenges participants to analyze the structures of power and privilege that hinder social equity and prepares them to be effective organizers for justice.\n \nSystemic racism exists\, advantaging White people while disadvantaging those who are Black\, Indigenous and People of Color. To get real and do something about it\, we must be willing to learn from history\, understand power and organize for social justice and equity.\n \nFaculty includes Premier Trainers: Barbara Major and David Billings\nRegistration is open for the February 3\, 2022 and March 3\, 2022 sessions.
