Antioch College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Writing to teach Writing 105 / 101: Expository Writing, a first-year composition course, for the Spring quarter. Expository Writing guides students through English writing conventions, imparts developmentally appropriate essay writing skills, helps students critically assess written works, and provides basic information literacy. Antioch’s 11-week Spring quarter runs from April 6, 2026 – June 18, 2026.
Applicants should hold an advanced degree in writing or a related field. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience instructing developmental writing.
WRIT 105 / 101 meets three times weekly, in two-hour sessions. Students placed into WRIT 105 attend two class sessions each week. Students placed into WRIT 101 attend an additional third session for extra instruction, practice, and assistance with assignments. We have some flexibility in course scheduling, depending upon the needs of the instructor.
