You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

The Antioch Tree Team Member will work with Dr. Landsbergen to collect and enter data about campus trees.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The Antioch Tree Team Member will work with Dr. Landsbergen and other student assistants to identify, map, measure campus trees and assess their health. Students will work outside to photograph and record data of trees and use measuring tapes and other equipment to measure them.
Students will enter data into computer spreadsheets and use mapping applications to obtain geo data for campus urban forests.
Students will be required to meet as a Tree Team on a bi-weekly basis during terms of employment.

Qualifications:
The student worker must be organized, timely, responsible.
Able to work well with others and detail-oriented.
Motivated to complete tasks as assigned without direct supervision.
A can-do attitude and tolerance of frustration is a plus.
Ability to record data carefully and precisely, enter data into spreadsheets, and use of Google Suite applications are essential requirements.

Required Physical Abilities:
Student will need to be able to walk >3 miles over uneven terrain, see, make photographs, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, be able to collect data in the field and enter it into spreadsheets

Environmental Considerations:
Work to be done on campus and in the vicinity of Yellow Springs as well as within ASB 102, 104, 106. Work may be under rain-or-shine conditions outside. It may be cold, hot, buggy, hilly, etc.
