You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

This position will support projects and art-making spaces on campus.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Arts Squad duties will include space oversight and monitoring of all art-making spaces on campus, assist in the Herndon Gallery as with exhibitions and monthly programming. Participate and assist in facilitating Arts at Antioch meetings and activities. Potential TA responsibilities according to need and scheduling.

Ability to imagine what might be possible
Comfortable and excited to learn new things
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to collaborate within specific job requirements
Comfort and proficiency with power tool use and safety requirements in the studios and in the shops.
Ability to work independently
Desire to imagine new uses of space for the community creative production
Must be able to demonstrate follow through with project-based assignments
Comfortable not knowing
Ability to work together to design a grand plan for creative space use on campus
An all-consuming interest in making and doing

Physical Requirement:
Must be comfortable on a ladder up to 12 feet in the air
Must be willing to get dirty in the execution of some aspects of the job.
Ability to stand or walk frequently
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Climb up onto and down from equipment or ladders
Able to manipulate small hand tools

Environmental Considerations:
Dusty Environments, dirty Environments, spaces that may not have access to air conditioning, wet environments
