Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Members of the Co-op Programming and Communications Team will be responsible for managing the Co-op Program’s website as well as the development and publication of Co-op newsletters sent to Antioch students, employers, community members, and other stakeholders interested in the Antioch community. They will help maintain communications with campus employers, advance social media efforts, assist in the development of marketing materials, and contribute to a variety of administrative tasks. Duties may include providing support for new programs, coordinating partnership activities with nonprofit organizations, and providing assistance with co-op efforts overall. They may also be asked to give presentations at schools and community colleges, assist with the development of videos, and contribute to the development of educational materials.
The students in this position will gain significant experience in marketing, developing in media campaigns, and working on the production of social media. They will benefit from the guidance of our Co-op Program faculty as they develop an understanding of promotional strategies within the higher education sector. They will also benefit from exposure to numerous local nonprofit organizations and gain insight into professional settings. They will thus be encouraged to gain a deeper understanding of how they may better position themselves for future co-op opportunities and establish themselves within their desired field. The student should be capable of producing video, audio, and other media focusing on the contributions of co-op students as they work with various employers. They will be asked to document the co-op experience from start to finish by conducting interviews with students, employers, and other community members.
The ability to create narrative and visually compelling media to showcase the social impact of student engagement off-campus.
Experience with or ability to learn advanced word processing, podcasting, and graphic design/desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator is desirable.
Experience with or ability to learn video and audio editing software as well as a willingness to update skills on an ongoing basis.
Experience with or ability to learn WordPress or other content management system is desired.
Willingness to adjust work hours to work evenings and weekends occasionally based on college-wide academic programming and events such as admissions open houses, student orientation and alumni reunion.

This position will require you to complete FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training.
