You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

The Ecology Lab Assistant will assist Dr. Landsbergen in the ecology lab.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The Ecology Lab Assistant will assist Dr. Landsbergen to maintain lab, prepare lab materials, enter data, keep lab tidy, order needed materials, conduct research, and any other duties as assigned as it relates to ENVS science program needs.

Qualifications:
The student worker must be organized, timely, responsible.
Able to work well with others and detail-oriented.
Motivated to complete tasks as assigned without direct supervision.
A can-do attitude and tolerance of frustration is a plus.
Ability to record data carefully and precisely, enter data into spreadsheets, and use of Google Suite applications are required.

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical ability to perform daily office activities, including sitting long periods at a desk, light-duty lifting, written and oral correspondence.

Must to be able to walk, lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach tall shelves, walk up to 3 miles. This is an in-person position.

Environmental Considerations:
Position works extensively in an office environment; seated or standing and utilizing standard office equipment such as networked computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines.
Indoor office environment; heated and cooled institutionally.
Occasional requirement to move around campus and in other locations, indoors and outdoors, over paved and rough terrain experiencing local temperature and weather variations.
Work to be done on campus and in the vicinity of Yellow Springs as well as within ASB 102, 104, 106.
Work may be under rain-or-shine conditions outside. It may be cold, hot, buggy, hilly, etc.
