You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
This Assistant position will work on three main projects
(1) installing a forest phenology camera on top of the Science Building;
(2) installing a weather station;
(3) collecting and processing soils as part of a multi-campus research project on urban soils.
The “canopy view” live camera, pointed at the Glen, will record the biology and leaf timing of the Glen.
Assistant will also be developing a campus web page where this information will be shared.  (example: https://phenocam.sr.unh.edu/webcam/)

Qualifications:
Organized, punctual, close attention to detail, and following up and delivering on mutually set goals.
Accountability and responsibility.
Ability to participate in Zoom and Google Meet type video calls,
Experience using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.,

Required Physical Abilities:
Ability to drive and possession of a valid driver’s license,
Mobility to walk on uneven terrain (farm, forest),
Ability to dig and carry soil samples and other materials up to 50 lbs;
Careful attention to lab safety and lab analysis details,
Climbing a ladder, ability to sit at a desk and type and use a computer screen for up to 10 hours a week
This position requires a combination of in-person and remote work

Environmental Considerations:
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, classroom and outdoor space and to move about the main campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather

Two

Work Schedule:
10 hours per week; set schedule based on student’s class schedule

Fall, ND Block, Winter, Spring
