You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for general administrative duties such as filing, answering telephones, answering questions from employees, and data entry.
The student employee will assist the HR staff as needed on special projects such as policy review.
Due to the nature of information handled within Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant MUST maintain confidentiality at all times.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The HR Assistant is expected to fulfill general administrative duties such as filing, answering telephones, answering questions from employees, and data entry.
The HR Assistant will also assist HR staff on special projects such as policy review and the Employee Handbook.
HR Assistant is a critical role in the support of employees (faculty, staff, and student employees) at Antioch College.
The HR Assistant is expected to have adequate typing, filing, and communication skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office
This position will require you to complete FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training.
Required Physical Abilities:
Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
Able to focus on computer tasks for prolonged periods of time
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Movement within and across a historic residential campus
Position works extensively in an office environment; seated or standing and utilizing standard office equipment such as networked computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines
Indoor office environment; heated and cooled institutionally
Occasional requirement to move around campus and in other locations, indoors and outdoors, over paved and rough terrain experiencing local temperature and weather variations

Hours per Week: 10
Monday – Friday during normal business hours
