Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The Program Development Assistant will work with Social Sciences faculty to develop and execute a strategic plan to advance the curriculum, pedagogy, and broader programming of the Division.
The Program Development Assistant will research and generate reports on social sciences and interdisciplinary programming in higher education to this end.
They will also survey the student body to generate data on student interests and aspirations and to help inform course offerings and teaching methods.
Students with interests in the fields of teaching or education are encouraged to apply.
The Program Development Assistant will be supervised and mentored by the Social Sciences faculty and will be expected to attend Divisional meetings as necessary.

Software: Microsoft Word and Excel (required), G Suite (required)
This position will require you to complete FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training.

Required Physical Abilities:
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, classroom and business space and to move about the main campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather

Environmental Considerations:
Position works extensively in an office environment; seated or standing and utilizing standard office equipment such as networked computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines
Indoor office environment; heated and cooled institutionally
Occasional requirement to move around campus, indoors and outdoors, over paved and rough terrain experiencing local temperature and weather variations

Work Schedule:
10 hours per week; set schedule based on student’s class schedule
