Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The Shared Governance Research and Visioning team will research frameworks towards the expansion of shared governance. This position will seek out policies and practices that are being theorized or implemented by other institutions and organizations towards more democratic praxis.
The researcher will conduct both intra and extra-community interviews, collect data, critically evaluate Antioch’s policy, write reports and proposals to be shared with the CM, ComCil, and College Council. The desired outcome is for radical participatory structures to be implemented within Antioch’s context.

Familiarity with mixed methods and qualitative research methods including literature reviews, landscape analysis, digital and community research
Curiosity around participatory processes
Tenacity to see innovative theory come to life at the College

Required Physical Abilities:
Able to focus on computer tasks for prolonged periods of time
Movement within and across a historic residential campus

Environmental Considerations:
Requirement to move around campus, indoors and outdoors, over paved and rough terrain experiencing local temperature and weather variations
