You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
The Space Coordinator will be a steward of shared spaces and liaison between Facilities, ComCil, Students, and Residence Life.
The Space Coordinator will support a culture of communication, reciprocity, and shared responsibility around the use of campus spaces.
Co-chair Space & Events committee
Attend ComCil when possible
Support the CM in responding to space use requests
Communicate with Facilities, and help respond to conflict when spaces are misused
Free store organization
Function as support staff for North Dining Hall, Weston, Exercise rooms in Birch and North, or any pandemic-specific need for student monitors
Facilitate Community Day planning and execution
An interest in developing a culture of stewardship
Required Physical Abilities:
Space Coordinators may occasionally be tasked with moving furniture, and managing free store donations
Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
Able to focus on computer tasks for prolonged periods of time
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Movement within and across a historic residential campus
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, classroom and business space and to move about main
campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather
May walk on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Number of Positions Available (per term):
Hours per Week: 10-20
Monday – Friday during normal business hours
Term Position is Available:
Fall, Winter, Spring; Winter Living, Summer Living
