Do you enjoy telling stories through photos? Do you consistently find yourself in spaces around campus where things are happening – classrooms, events, outdoor spaces? Are you looking to help contribute to Antioch’s outward facing visuals? The Antioch College Communications Department is looking for Student Photographers that understand visual composition, know how photography can be used to tell stories and connect with audiences, and can provide “slice-of-life” images that help communicate a sense of the community that exists at Antioch today. Submitted photos will considered for use in a variety of communications channels in both digital and print mediums. Experience with or willingness to learn and interest in photo-post processing is a plus.

Ability to be present at College events, classes, and spaces where the Antioch community gather. Weekly meetings with supervisor to discuss and present photo submissions.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of photographic composition
  • Ability to manage and share digital files in an organized way
  • Experience with photographing people in natural and varied settings
  • Understanding of technical aspects of digital photography, including file sizes and formats, lighting, exposure, etc.
  • Intermediate understanding and willingness to learn post-processing tools, such as Photoshop or Lightroom

Physical Abilities

Ability to carry camera equipment (less that 25 lbs). Ability to visit varies locations on campus Ability to sit at a desk or use a computer for extended periods of time.

Environmental Considerations:
Position requires interactions with other members of the community.
