You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

The writing tutor/consultant provides one-to-one or small group writing support as needed for students working on essays or other writing projects across disciplines.

Responsibilities
To provide honest, yet sensitive, feedback to peers on writing projects and to follow standard tutoring protocols as determined by the Director of the Writing Institute.

Qualifications
Must have earned a B or higher in at least one writing-intensive courses (creative or expository). Some experience providing feedback to peers on their written work would be helpful. Should possess a love for language and the writing process. Must be a good listener, encouraging, and confident.

Physical Abilities
The position requires sitting for extended periods of time, and communicating with people on a routine basis.

Environmental Considerations
This position could include meeting face to face with peers which may expose the tutor to communicable germs. A mask can be worn at the tutor’s discretion.
