Getting to the Root

2-Day Intensive Workshop

on Racial justice

The Coretta Scott King Center for Cultural and Intellectual Freedom at Antioch College, in partnership with H.U.M.A.N. and the Getting to the Root Organizers Collective, presents:

Getting To The Root: Racial Justice & Human Rights Workshop a 2 day intensive workshop where participants explore how we have been socialized and conditioned to think about race and racism.

This intensive, interactive process challenges participants to analyze the structures of power and privilege that hinder social equity and prepares them to be effective organizers for justice.

Together, we analyze class, power and institutional/individual relationships to and within communities. We explore the historical causes of disproportionality and begin to uncover how disparate racial outcomes occur in every system and institution in our nation.

This intensive, interactive process challenges participants to analyze deeply the structures of power and privilege that hinder social equity and prepares us to be effective organizers, educators and advocates of justice and humanity.

Faculty includes Premier Trainers: Barbara Major and David Billings
