Supporting Foster & Kinship Care Students
Antioch College is a proud partner of the Ohio Reach Program. As a post secondary destination within the network of Ohio Reach, we support students who experienced foster or kinship care and would like to pursue higher education.
What is Ohio Reach?
The Ohio Reach Program, established by the Ohio Department of Higher Education in partnership with the Ohio Children’s Alliance, seeks to address the challenges faced by former foster youth in accessing and succeeding in higher education. Through a comprehensive array of supportive services, including mentoring programs and emergency funds, Ohio Reach equips colleges and universities to identify, engage, and assist students with a history of foster care involvement.
An Antioch Education
Affordability: All students seeking an education at Antioch College receive need or merit-based scholarships. In addition to financial support from Antioch College, state funds are also available through the Ohio Reach Program.
Experiential Learning: The co-op component of an Antioch education not only elevates resumes, but it also instills confidence in students as they enter the workforce and begin a new journey. Additionally, we are one of only 10 Federal Work Colleges in the country and the only one in Ohio.
Your Voice Matters: At Antioch College small class sizes and discussion-based learning ensures that all students get a chance to share their truth and engage with peers in a meaningful way.
