Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
ASB Squad duties will include cleaning, preparing and assisting with the specialized teaching spaces in the Arts & Science Building, in collaboration with the Arts & Science faculty. These include art studios, woodshop, and science laboratories. Additionally, they will provide coordination and vision towards the use of a new Co-Lab space on the third floor as a student art & science makerspace.

Comfortable and excited to learn new things
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to collaborate within specific job requirements
Comfort and proficiency with power tool use, laboratory equipment, and safety requirements in the studios, shops and labs.
Ability to work independently
Desire to imagine new uses of space for the community creative production
Must be able to demonstrate follow through with project-based assignments
An interest in making and doing

Physical Requirement:
Must be comfortable on a ladder up to 12 feet in the air
Must be willing to get dirty in the execution of some aspects of the job.
Ability to stand or walk frequently
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Climb up onto and down from equipment or ladders
Able to manipulate small hand tools

Environmental Considerations:
Dusty Environments, and environments that need hood or eyewash stations for safety and ventilation.
