You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.
Academic Year round NOT including JA & ND Blocks
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and manage all known student space initiatives, including those introduced by independents groups (IGs), committees, other related groups/organizations, and by individual members of the community
- Support dialogue and fair use of Weston by students and design initiatives to support its maintenance and improvements.
- Receive and review student proposals with ComCil and assist in communication for booking and accessing spaces by students on campus.
- Communicate with governmental bodies, Student Life, the Events Coordinator, and other related positions to ensure the safe and sustainable usage of space on campus.
- Provide transparency of all proposals and usage of space on and/or near campus by individuals and organizations that are/are not affiliated with Antioch College.
- Assist with the organization of Community Meeting, as needed by the Community Manager and all other participating organizations/individuals
- Update the Space Coordinator training manual and roles relating to the position, as deemed appropriate by their supervisor and other related groups/organizations
In summary, the Space Coordinator position’s role is to make sure the use of space, in any and all capacities relating to Antioch College (nearby or directly), is being communicated and used in a respectable manner throughout campus
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Be in good academic standing, with a GPA of at least 2.0
- Experienced with basic software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience in working in multiple, include office, environments
- Experience or interest in space reservations and management
- Experience participating in governmental bodies (preferable on campus, such as Community Council, College Council, etc.)
- Organized, self-sufficient, and flexible with responsibilities
