You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.

Academic Year round NOT including JA & ND Blocks

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Plan, conduct, and manage all known student event-based initiatives, including those introduced by independents groups (IGs), committees, other related groups/organizations, and by individual members of the community
  • Communicate with governmental bodies, the Space Coordinator, and other related positions/organizations to ensure that events are safe and sustainable.
  • Receive and present event proposals from the community to coordinate their acceptance (or provide feedback) and support the delivery of the event by the formation of an event committee or guiding the proposal submitters in their event planning process.
  • Provide transparency of all proposals relating to events by individuals and organizations that are/are not affiliated with Antioch College
  • Manage and contribute to the Antioch Events Calendar and all other neighboring communication-based organizations (the Antioch Bulletin, The Record, Student Life, etc.) using it
  • Assistance with the organization of Community Meeting, as needed by the Community Manager and all other participating organizations/individuals
  • Updating the Events Coordinator training manual and roles relating to the position, as deemed appropriate by their supervisor and other related groups/organizations

In summary, the Events Coordinator position’s role is to make sure that events, as they relate to their usage of space, activities, and their application to Antioch College, is being communicated and used in a respectable manner throughout campus

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Be in good academic standing, with a GPA of at least 2.0
  • Experienced with basic software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience in working in multiple, include office, environments
  • Experience or interest in event management and organization
  • Experience participating in governmental bodies (preferable on campus, such as Community Council, College Council, etc.)
  • Organized, self-sufficient, and flexible with responsibilities

Environmental Considerations:
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, classroom and business space and to move about main
campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather
May walk on uneven or slippery surfaces.

Monday – Friday during normal business hours
