Position Summary:
You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position. This position is responsible for assisting in the successful operation of the IT function in accordance with the strategic plan and the mission and vision of the College. The Helpdesk Analyst I works closely with other individuals in the Office of Information Technology to ensure the College’s technology (software and hardware) is performing properly and that hardware, software, and systems outages are analyzed, addressed, and remedied as quickly as possible. The Helpdesk Analyst I also provides user training as required.

Responsibilities:
During work hours, serves as the primary point of contact for initial (tier 1) IT support for internal clients and works to:
Receive, identify, analyze, and respond to reports of outages and other problems with College-supported computers and other related technology.
Work to apply solutions or temporary workarounds to problems whenever possible, to notify other IT staff as relevant of current problems requiring attention, and to be the primary point of contact for clients in need of support.
Provide excellent customer service.
Performs routine maintenance on technology equipment to ensure productivity and functionality for proper use. This responsibility may extend to troubleshooting or replacing problem equipment; assembling, connecting, tagging, prepping, imaging, etc. new devices; delivering devices to appropriate locations; performing appropriate modifications or repairs to equipment; installing software; maintaining data regarding equipment warranties, software licenses, etc.
Provides the demonstration of new technology and answers questions related to current technology. Helps ensure that technology is used correctly and efficiently, and advises users on best software- and hardware-use practices.
Data entry and office management tasks may be assigned as necessary.
Assists with the rest of the IT team in troubleshooting network and server issues as needed.
Collaborates with the rest of the IT team in development of long-term IT strategy, roadmap, and goals.
Offers recommendations to improve technology within the college as well as within the IT Department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience working with computers in a personal capacity.
Experience working in desktop support/help desk environment preferred.
Other relevant business experience preferred.
Ability to give attention to detail, ability to absorb new information quickly, demonstration of good judgment, and ability to follow precise technical instructions are crucial.
Experience or aptitude for fulfilling foundational customer service expectations.
This position will require you to complete FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training.

Environmental Considerations:
May occasionally require work in small spaces, uninhabited buildings, or uninhabited spaces of buildings; may require working with electronic equipment that, if mishandled, could present a shock risk.
