The Property Management Staff is responsible to provide prompt and excellent service to our students, staff and faculty by maintaining a clean and healthy environment through routine custodial work and facility maintenance in all campus buildings, including academic buildings and dormitories, in accordance with regular and periodic maintenance schedules.

Dates for the Position:

January 8, 2024 and ends on or before March 22, 2024, upon approval of the job supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Perform various types of custodial work including, but not limited to include emptying trash and sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpets.
Perform various types of facility maintenance with varying degrees of difficulty on buildings.
Snow removal for all campus drives, parking areas, mowing and trimming of campus grounds, and campus beautification
Other duties are required as the need arises

Qualifications:
Ability to operate the necessary machinery and equipment to clean and maintain buildings and grounds in safe and sanitary condition including lawn equipment.
Ability to work side-by-side with staff, other student workers, volunteers and friends of the college

Required Physical Abilities:
Ability to stand or walk regularly and frequently indoors and out of doors within and between buildings and work sites
Ability to regularly and frequently bend, squat, and climb stairs
Ability to regularly and frequently lift, carry and utilize tools, devices, and materials needed to accomplish work, including vacuum cleaners, mops, water-filled buckets
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance
Ability to climb up onto and down from equipment or ladders
Ability to manipulate small hand tools regularly and frequently

Environmental Considerations:
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, classroom and business space and to move about main campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather
May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis
May walk on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Noise level in the work environment is variable
