The Office of Advancement coordinates all fundraising and alumni relations activities for the College. The Antioch College Advancement Office is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable student to join our Advancement Team as a Student Assistant, supporting Advancement Services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in database management and data entry, which are crucial for effective fundraising and donor engagement. The Student Assistant will work closely with the Database Manager to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our donor data.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
- Data Entry: Accurately enter donor information, gifts, and other relevant data into the advancement Update and maintain current records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correct.
- Data Maintenance: Regularly review and clean up the database to remove duplicates and correct errors.Assist in the auditing process to verify data accuracy and
- Reporting: Generate routine and ad hoc reports as requested by the Advancement Team. Assist in the analysis of data to support fundraising strategies and decision-making.
- Record Keeping: Help organize and maintain electronic and paper files related to donor records. Ensure that all data handling complies with privacy and confidentiality
- Support Advancement Services: Provide general administrative support to the Advancement Services team. Assist with special projects and tasks as needed to support the department’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student at Antioch
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Physical Abilities:
Physical ability to perform daily office activities, including sitting long periods at a desk, light-duty lifting, written and oral correspondence.
Environmental Considerations:
Position works extensively in an office environment; seated or standing and utilizing standard office equipment such as networked computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines
Indoor office environment; heated and cooled institutionally.
Occasional requirement to move around campus and in other locations, indoors and outdoors, over paved and rough terrain experiencing local temperature and weather variations

Must be able to complete hours during standard office hours (8:30am – 5pm). Flexibility is possibly within those parameters.
