Allie is a second-year student at Antioch College serving as a student representative on the Board of Trustees. She is from Delaware, Ohio and is pursuing a self-designed Bachelor of Arts currently titled “Environmental Humanities and Community Resilience”. She works on campus as the Native Medicinal Horticulturalist and Community Wellbeing Advocate, tending to gardens, creating herbal medicines, and fostering community on campus. Her first co-op was in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia as a farm apprentice, where she learned about natural beekeeping methods and education-based, environmental nonprofit organizations. In the Winter of 2023 Allie will be on her second co-op in Otavalo, Ecuador where she will hone her Spanish-speaking skills and learn more about sustainable farming, education, and community engagement.
