Marsha Jean Glass, age 58, of Xenia, Ohio transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was born on August 23, 1961 to Jerome Glass Sr. and Carolyn (Glass) Hardnick.
She lived in Springfield, Ohio for many years and attended Springfield South High School.
Marsha worked for numerous places including Antioch College, The Gathering Space, Riddles Ribs, and Plasco before being in a car accident that resulted in her not being able to work as much as she enjoyed.
Marsha took pleasure in spending time with her family; especially, at Granny’s where she visited several times a week. She took pride in her children and grandchildren, as they filled her heart with joy. Marsha also enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Keya, at her home, particularly waking up there on Christmas morning. She adored her entire family and could always be heard telling them “I love you babes”, while giving big hugs, back rubs and giving Granny foot massages.
Marsha was always willing to lend a helping hand; she loved running errands with Pops (Melvin). She was very outspoken and would tell you what was on her mind and everyone who knew her loved that about her. Marsha had a gift at growing flowers and loved jewelry.
She was a very strong, loving and resilient woman who will be dearly missed. Marsha leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Carolyn (Melvin) Hardnick; daughter, Lakeya (Antwaun) Richardson; grandchildren, Donta’ Greene, Jr., Mah’ki Glass and J’Ceon Richardson; sisters, Monique (Greg) Slaughter and Cathy (Chevez) Lyons; brothers, Jerome Glass, Jr. and Victor (Isha) Glass; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome (Skeet) Glass Sr.; son, SSGT Jonathan Glass; and brothers, Robert Glass and Michael Glass.
Visitation was December 5, 2019 at Greater Grace Temple, 380 West Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio 45506. Interment was in Ferncliff Cemetery, 501 West McCreight Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45504. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
