The online academy resource is working to expand its amount of free content available to students and alumni with access to JSTOR. In a tweet sent on March 18, JSTOR has announced that it has over 6,000 ebooks and over 150 journals which are now accessible through their website.

In a statement, JSTOR said:

“We are working with publishers to make more than 20,000 books available at no charge for JSTOR participating academic institutions and secondary schools that do not participate in our books program”, the statement said. “The number of books available through this effort is growing daily as more publishers opt in.”

In addition to JSTOR, both Cambridge and Oxford have opened the archives of their university presses (over 700 online textbooks) which the public can access until the end of May.
