An article written by Philip Ellis for Men’s Health provides 10 book recommendations to help people educate themselves about anti-racism.
The first book on the list was recommended by Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Associate Professor of History, Kevin McGruder: Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi, a “remix” of Kendi’s National Book Award-Winning earlier book Stamped from the Beginning.
This list also includes White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, by Robin Diangelo; The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness, by Michelle Alexander; If Beale Street Could Talk, by James Baldwin, and a few others.
