Antioch College’s Olive Kettering Library (OKL) has a new director. The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce that Emily Samborsky has been selected as the next director of the OKL. Samborsky will begin her position on Monday, July 26, 2021.
Prior to coming to Antioch College, Samborsky spent five years as director of Library Services at Ivy Tech Community College in Richmond, IN, where she previously served as associate professor of English. Prior to her positions at Ivy Tech, she was assistant librarian for Instruction and Archives at Indiana University East, also in Richmond, IN.
She will succeed OKL Director Kevin Mulhall, who left in January. Since that time, Archivist Scott Sanders has served as interim director of the Library.
Academic Affairs would like to take this opportunity to thank the search committee for their work to bring this search to a successful conclusion. Associate Professor of History and former VPAA Dr. Kevin McGruder served as chair. Staff and faculty serving were Mailroom and Merchandise Coordinator Wakka Ciccone ’05, Assistant Professor of Writing and Composition Robin Littell, and Scott Sanders. Student S. Quinn Ritzhaupt ’23 also served on the committee.
