Dr. Kenneth Ball, 89, passed away on June 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 11, 1932 in Long Island, NY, a son of the late Elvira and Oscar Ball.
Ken graduated from Antioch College in Ohio and received his graduate PhD from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where he met and married the love of his life, Pat. Ken was an organizational and clinical Phd Psychologist, a management consultant and coach to numerous businesses and President of The Orchard Corporation, an International company based in St. Louis where he spent most of his work life. He was a founder of the Society of Psychologists in Leadership, an International Psychological Organization. He was on the Board of Trustees for Antioch College for many years.
His pride and joy was his family, and he embraced every moment he had with them. He spent the majority of his life in St. Louis, MO and moved to Charlotte, NC in 2010. He loved being near his grandchildren and felt so blessed to watch them grow up.
He loved playing tennis, bridge and traveling globally. He was very bright, had a great sense of humor and was a warm, generous, loving family man and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Ball; his beloved son, David Ball and beloved daughter Dana (Rich) Ferguson; his beautiful grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle; his brother, Jerry Ball; his sister, Norma Platner; sisters-in-law, Kay (Bob) Keener and Deborah Ross; nephews, Michael Platner and Robert Platner.
A celebration of life followed by a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 24, 2022 in the chapel at Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Ave., Charlotte, NC.
