A Message from Interim President Natalie Kubat
Dear Antiochians,
I am honored to serve as Interim President of Antioch College, and I look forward to the vital work we will accomplish together in the months ahead. As I step into this role, my primary focus is ensuring we deliver the very best hands-on, experiential education possible for our students. Having met many members of our incoming first-year class, I am deeply inspired by their thoughtful care, ambitious goals, and genuine passion for learning. Our students represent the very heart of Antioch’s mission.
Since 2023, I have served as Executive Director of Advancement, working alongside campus leadership, trustees, alumni, and donors to champion our commitment to social justice, self-governance, and cooperative education. That experience reinforced what I already knew: Antioch’s strength lies in the resilience and dedication of its community.
As we look to the future, we must also be clear-eyed about our immediate challenges. Like many independent institutions, we are navigating real budgetary constraints, facility upkeep needs, and low enrollment numbers. We will share the official fall student body count in the coming days as our census is finalized. Facing these issues head-on requires focus and collaboration. Alongside the Leadership Transition Team and Board of Trustees, I am dedicating my time to finalizing a balanced budget, crafting our FY27 operations plan, and setting the groundwork for our next strategic planning cycle. I am also working with the Antioch College Alumni Board to increase communication and transparency.
Above all, I look forward to connecting with our dedicated alumni to listen to your thoughts, ideas, and vision for Antioch. Our first dedicated gathering will be a Virtual Alumni Town Hall on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT, co-hosted and moderated by the Alumni Board. This will be an open space to hear updates directly from leadership and ask questions. A formal invitation with registration details will follow next week.
