Academic Year round (including JA & ND Blocks)

Position Summary:
Student Facilities Assistants (SFAs), under the supervision and direction of Property Management- Joshua Miller, are responsible for assisting in the inspection, assessment, reporting, and resolution of maintenance concerns within the residential facilities. SFAs assist with maintenance and minor construction projects.

Dates for the Position:

January 8, 2024 and ends on or before March 22, 2024, upon approval of the job supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities:
General maintenance, building checks, room checks, grounds work, refilling water sulfur systems, taking out the trash on the weekends, performing cleaning activities, special projects, other duties as assigned.

Required Physical Abilities:
Physically qualified to lift up to 50 pounds, and to bend, stoop, stretch, reach and climb.

Environmental Considerations:
Position requires incumbent to operate in office, dorms, classroom and business space and to move about main campus and in other locations during all seasons and weather
May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis
May walk on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Noise level in the work environment is variable

Number of Positions Available (per term): 1

Work Schedule:
Selected hours between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Some weekend work is required.
Up to 10 hour a week during the block term.

Term Position is Available:
Fall, Winter, Spring, a possibility for some hours in Nov/Dec Block and/or Jul/Aug Block
