EcoFarm and Food Foresting Program

Save the Dates Summer 2026!

The Antioch College EcoFarm & Food Foresting Program confronts the pressing challenges of rural decline and environmental degradation in southwestern Ohio, where the displacement of small farms has eroded livelihoods and accelerated soil and habitat loss. In response, we are building a new model of reciprocal engagement that showcases cultivation practices to restore soil health, promote biodiversity, and foster economic independence. Through focused institutes, participants will learn sustainable solutions from a variety of ecological farming traditions that support regenerative agrarian systems and align with Antioch’s commitment to social and environmental justice. Participants will not just learn about ethical practices—they will co-create resilient, regenerative systems on our campus and in their communities. Our ultimate goal is to prepare a new generation to design climate-resilient agrarian enterprises that restore ecosystems, address food insecurity, and harmonize with Ohio’s natural cycles.
