Mad River Theater Works presents Professor Louie & Friends at the Foundry Theater

Grammy Nominated Professor Louie from Woodstock, NY has been expanding the
borders of the Americana, Roots & Blues genres with his stories, keyboard playing,
singing, accordion and consistently performing. The show repertoire will consist of
songs from Professor Louie & The Crowmatix 18 Albums and songs Louie learned and
helped create directly with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame group “The Band” when he
collaborated with them for over 16 years. Co-producing & performing on The Band’s last
three CD’s including their comeback hits Atlantic City, and Blind Willie McTell along
with many of their 90’s repertoire and classic Band songs. Rick Danko bass player
singer of The Band gave Louie the moniker “Professor Louie”.
Crowin’ Around, their 18th recording on The Woodstock Records label by their group
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix. Crowin’ Around has 11 songs, seven which are
biographical, creative original tunes written by Professor Louie & Miss Marie and three
with new interpretations by artists Professor Louie produced: The Band, Commander
Cody, Graham Parker and one instrumental interpretation by the genius composer
Moon Dog.
