Reunion 2022

July 14 - July 17

Antioch College Reunion July 14-17 2022
MARCH On! Antioch College Reunion July 14-17, 2022

The 2022 Antioch College Reunion will return as an in-person event in Yellow Springs this July 14-17th!

We are so excited to welcome back to campus all classes especially the 50th class of 1972 (plus 1971 and 1970 who missed their 50th in-person reunions due to the pandemic). Other anniversary years like the 5th, 25th and 65th are encouraged to organize your cohort to return this year!

We are planning a variety of presentations, scintillating conversations and interactive events to entice alums from every discipline back to Campus. (See the Preliminary Schedule for details.)

  • Many dancer/choreographers are planning participatory dance events.
  • There’ll be panels on current issues like how to address right wing attacks on public education (a threat to Horace Mann’s legacy), how to develop livable communities using Yellow Springs as an object lesson, and the impact your Antioch experience had on your life.
  • Scott Sanders, head of Antiochiana, will give us a historical tour of Campus and Peter Townsend, emeritus Geology faculty, will give us a photographic tour of the Glen as well as an actual walk.
  • WYSO will interview selected alums about your life’s work,
  • We’re planning a funeral for the Student Union (The Stoop will remain!)
  • And Div Dance will be DJ’d by Clean Gene Lohman and Shane Creepingbear!
  • Plus all the important opportunities to meet the new president, Jane Fernandes, hear the Alumni Awardees presentations and so much more!

Of course the best part of Reunion is the opportunity to reconnect with your friends. We encourage you to reach out to your classmates and get them to register!

Due to COVID protocols we are limiting registration to 250 spots at this time, so don’t hesitate. We have dorm rooms available and area hotel rooms are on hold.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to Campus and Yellow Springs. We need your involvement in Antioch and there is no better way to engage than attending Reunion and the Volunteer Work Project (See details attached) scheduled for July 10-14th.

Ceremony of Recognition and Reconciliation

Special Recognition for Antioch College Alumni impacted by the College’s closure in 2008 at forthcoming Antioch College Reunion July 14th – 17th

This years Antioch College Reunion July 14th -17th, the College is inviting those students who were compelled to discontinue their studies at Antioch College when Antioch University closed the College in 2008 to a special Ceremony of Recognition and Reconciliation.   This would include alumni from the classes of 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012.

In addition to the ceremony, we are planning on having a  session, led by an experienced facilitator, for individuals interested in discussing and sharing their individual experiences, which in some cases were traumatic, after the College’s closure.

The date for the event is as follows:
July 17th Sunday 9am – 11am – Group Session with an experienced facilitator

For the Ceremony of Recognition  / Reconciliation we are looking for one or two alumni impacted by the closure to volunteer to speak to all those attending the event.  If interested, please contact Vanessa Cubano at

Antioch College’s records regarding alumni pre-closure are limited, since all pre-closure information is held by Antioch University and this information has not been made available to the College.

From limited data available from Antiochiana, we have organized a list, to the best of our ability, in an effort to identify those alumni who were impacted by the College’s closure.   However, our source of data included 2008 alumni who actually did graduate from Antioch College prior to closure and if you are in this group, we apologize for contacting you regarding this topic.

Furthermore, we would encourage you to contact other alumni from this era and advise them of this special invitation to the forthcoming July 2022 reunion,

Complete Your Academic Journey at Antioch College & Receive an Expedited Admission Process
In the course of our communications with alumni associated the College’s closure, we have been made aware that somewhere between 40% to 50% of you have never completed a bachelor’s degree at another academic institution.

As a result, the Admissions Department has set up an expedited admission process for ALL alumni from the 1990’s until closure in 2008.  In addition, it is our understanding that generous financial aid will also be made available to such alumni.  If applicable and interested, we would encourage you to contact Antioch College’s Admissions Office and talk to
Shane Creepingbear ’08

In Conclusion

Finally, we would also encourage you to contact other alumni who were impacted by the closure and advise them of the forthcoming 2022 Reunion as well as the expedited Admission process for alumni who have never completed their bachelors degree.

We hope you will be able to attend this reunion in July, where special recognition shall be given to alumni affected by Antioch College’s closure.
