Part Time | Academic Year round (Position may include JA & ND Blocks depending on availability and department needs) | 5-15 hours per week

Position Summary:
Student technicians are responsible for maintaining media lab workspaces and supporting media services equipment. This dual-role position combines lab maintenance with equipment management to support the college’s media arts programs and events.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Sanitize and maintain the Media Lab (218 ASB), editing suites (217 ASB), and other media workspaces
Provide technical support and tutoring for media software, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Manage media equipment checkout from the Media Supply Room
Maintain inventory and track equipment, ensuring all packages are returned complete with charged batteries
Install audiovisual equipment for classes, meetings, and special events
Provide video recording support as needed
Perform light housekeeping duties in media spaces
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of Apple computers and comfort working with people in a support capacity
Willingness to learn new software and equipment
Familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
Experience with or strong interest in media production equipment (cameras, audio gear, etc.)
Strong customer service skills
Preferred: Media software experience, particularly Adobe CC applications
Preferred: Successful completion of MEDA 102
Required Physical Abilities:
Able to sit for prolonged periods working at computers
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Able to move media equipment across campus
Movement within and across a historic residential campus
Environmental Considerations:
Position requires work in office, classroom, and event spaces across campus in all seasons and weather. Occasional exposure to low-level cleaning chemicals.
