You must be a registered Antioch College student to be eligible for this position.
Coordinate student volunteers for the Native Medicinal Apothecary Garden
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Recruit volunteers to tend garden beds.
Supervise students work to ensure that specific native plants are properly cared for.
Support the eradication of invasive non-native plants
The student in this position should have a significant appreciation for and love of native plants.
They should also have significant organizational abilities and strong communication skills.
Required Physical Abilities:
Candidates must be able to regularly bend over, lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and push a wheelbarrow.
Ability to engage in strenuous physical garden work during the hottest months of the year
Should enjoy time in outdoor spaces and exposure to the elements.
Possible exposure to pollen, stinging insects, poison ivy, brambles, etc.
