Sara Dill Somerfleck, age 95, passed away on February 2, 2019. She was born in Columbus, Ohio.

She majored in journalism at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She worked as a reporter, editor, and publicist for a number of organizations and publications in Springfield, Ohio, Washington D.C., New York City, Denver, and San Francisco. She also worked for a period in San Francisco as a union organizer.

She and her husband, Milton, moved to Minnesota in 1954 and raised their three children there. She worked as a volunteer for girl scouts, cub scouts, and PTA in St Louis Park. She was an active member of the DFL, one of the organizers of the St Louis Park Assn for children with learning disabilities, and worked for 25 years volunteering for the St Louis Park emergency program (STEP). She is survived by her daughter, Susan Crosby (her husband Edward) of London, England, Son David of Minneapolis, son Daniel (his wife Carol) of Guam, three grandchildren: Alex, Eli, Ezra, and her brother retired army general Garrett Dill (his wife Sidney) and his family.
