William Campbell White previously of Longwood Ave in Chatham, died peacefully on September 19, 2022 at Masonic Village, Sewickley, PA. at the age of 94. Active in the community, he volunteered at Chatham library, taught classes to seniors, and designed sets for community theater. As a member of the Chatham Summit Quaker Meeting, he was Treasurer and an innovator of religious education programs for children. Moving to Sewickley, PA in 2003 with wife Lynn, he continued being creatively active and encouraging the creative spirit in others. Bill (Will) served in the Navy, graduated with a BA from Antioch College and spent most of his professional career in marketing and advertising. He was Creative Partner in the Interpublic Co. subsidiary Jack Tinker & Partners, President of PKL Advertising and a partner in Auditore & White. An award-winning copywriter, he also wrote plays, short stories and novels. A celebrated watercolorist, he was a member of numerous art groups both in NJ and PA. Born in Boston, MA, July 4, 1928, the son of the late Joseph D. and Edna (Campbell) White. He is survived by his siblings Alice Robin (PA) and Sarah Sellers (CA) and sister-in-law Margareta Hurtig White (MA), by his children, Peter and wife Carolyn Kalldin White (NJ / FL), and daughter Melissa Cicozi (PA), by his grandchildren Jennifer Lombardo (NH), Meredith Gondo Caponegro and husband Gary (NJ), Christopher White and partner Emily Emmons (NH), Lauren Merante and husband Pasquale (PA), Anna Cicozi (PA) and great-grandchildren Callie and Luke Caponegro (NJ). He is predeceased by his wife, Lynn Westerman White, and brother James W White.
