Len (Tuck) Spaulding, lately of Newtown Square, PA, but longtime resident of Newark, DE, died on Monday, October 13, 2022 at the age of 79. Born in Spring Valley, IL on October 31, 1942, Tuck grew up in Princeton, IL before heading off to Antioch College, where he met Sara Jane, to whom he was married for 55 years. Tuck earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati, and his work took the couple to Georgia, New York, New Jersey, and finally Newark, DE. He worked in Elkton and was an active member of the Elkton Rotary. His curious nature and scientific training made him a voracious reader and enthusiastic conversationalist. He was an avid fisherman and loved being out on the water, whether by boat, scuba, or snorkel. Tuck loved his wife and daughter with his whole heart and proudly supported their endeavors. Tuck is survived by his daughter, Kate Spaulding (Zach Mangan), and sisters, Penny Newton (David) and Chris Vuco (Steve). His beloved wife, Sara Jane (Mullin), died in 2019. He was a son of the late Len and Betty (Welch) Spaulding.
