Dennis J. Halter, age 85, of Plymouth, passed away at his home on December 14, 2025.
He was born on December 31, 1939 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Benjamin and Esther (Ebelt) Halter. Dennis was raised in Waldo, Wisconsin, graduating from Waldo High School in 1957. Following high school, he attended Antioch College.
Dennis lived in Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, and Florida before moving back to Wisconsin in 2000.
He was multi-talented, capable of doing just about anything, and had a very big heart. Dennis would help anyone in need when he could.
Dennis is survived by: his sisters: Rosemary (George) Keiser of Sedona, AZ, and Virginia Krahn of Onalaska, WI; nephews: Jeff Halter (Tonya) of The Dalles, OR, Paul Halter (Cindy) of La Crosse, WI; nieces: Angela Gray (Ken), of Aiken, SC, and Julie Staples (Reg) of Charlotte, NC; and great nieces: Allison Halter, Jessica Halter, Allyson Gray, Kathryn Gray, and Ava Staples; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Benjamin and Esther; brother, James Halter; and sister-in-law Pam Halter.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services at this time.
