A Home for Hampshire Students. Direct Admission. No Deposit. Complete Your Degree.

We know this moment is heartbreaking. Let us make the next one straightforward.

Direct Admission for Hampshire Students

If you want to continue your education at Antioch College, you are admitted. No competitive review. No uncertainty.

To secure your place, you only need to do two things:

  1. Complete the short “Next Steps” form (basic info, no essays)
  2. Submit a copy of your Hampshire transcript (unofficial is fine)

That’s it.

A word from us to you.

If you’re reading this from Hampshire College right now, you’re likely feeling a mix of emotions—anger, grief, exhaustion, uncertainty. You chose Hampshire for a reason. You believed in student-driven education, narrative evaluation, and a community that values justice, creativity, and intellectual risk.

That belief wasn’t wrong. And the work you’ve done at Hampshire matters.

The situation you’re facing is deeply unfair. Small, politically radical liberal arts colleges like Hampshire and Antioch have always operated outside the mainstream—and that has never been easy. But right now, the pressure on institutions like yours is acute, and the toll on students like you is real.

We see you. We honor what you’ve built. And we want to offer a clear, direct path forward.

What You Can Expect From Us

We know you need more than a promise. You need specifics.

No deposit required. Antioch alumni have raised funds to cover the cost of your deposit. Your place is held at no cost to you.

Title-preserving transfer. Your Hampshire course titles will appear directly on your Antioch transcript—no generic titling, no lost identity. Most courses will map to our container system, with direct equivalencies for common general education and major requirements

Up to 3 years of transfer credits. Our transfer policy typically only allows students to bring in 2 years worth of credits. Under these unique circumstances, we have created a process to allow for up 3 years of your credits to transfer, allowing many Hampshire students the opportunity to graduate on their original timeline.

Timely, competitive financial aid. We will work with you individually to build a financial aid package—fast, transparent, and as generous as we can make it.

A campus visit. Come see Yellow Springs. Meet faculty, students, and staff. We’ll host you!

Who We Are (And Why This Fits)

Antioch and Hampshire were cut from the same cloth. Antioch Offers:

Self-design majors – You build your own course of study.

A work focused college – You learn through doing, on and off campus.

A close community focused environment – Collaboration over competition.

Some facts about our community:

Over 90% of Antioch graduates have a job or are in graduate school within six months of graduating.

Over 80% of our students identify as LGBTQ+.

We are a small college (intentionally) where you will not be a number. You will be known, challenged, and supported.

The Hard Truth We Won’t Hide From

Small, radical liberal arts colleges are under enormous pressure right now. Financially, politically, culturally. Hampshire has been fighting that fight. So have we.

But here is what we can promise you:
Antioch College is stable. We are growing. And we are committed to being a place where students like you—students who refuse to be boxed into a conventional education—can not only finish their degree, but thrive.

You did not come this far to be told your education doesn’t count. It counts. And it counts here.

Of 2021 grads feel they had a meaningful and relevant educational experience at Antioch College.

“This process really informed me on who I’m going to be as an artist how Im gonna be spending my time, what’s required of me, I don’t think it gets any better than that. Assignments are one thing, but actual on the job experience just takes it to a whole other level.”
