Group Swim Lessons

Our youth aquatics program is designed to teach personal water safety, stroke development, water sports and games, rescue and personal growth skills to children. Our program is divided by age and skill levels. Children learn at their own pace, and advancing to the next level is dependent on the child’s completion of required skills. Please keep in mind that the session length does not guarantee that all children will advance to the next level.

Choosing the Right Class

With all the options available it might be hard to decide which class is appropriate for your child, which is why the provides the benchmarks of each level of the swim lessons program. The material linked below shows the skills learned, final test to graduate from each level, and safety topics that will be covered.

Skills: If your child can do all the skills listed they are too advanced for that class and should be enrolled in a higher level; if they can perform most of the skills listed in a stage, but not all, it is probably the right class for them; if they are unable to demonstrate comfort with most of the skills in a level it will be too advanced for them.

Exit assessments: the final skills tests for each level. Students must be able to perform ALL the skills during the four week course and then successfully complete the exit assessment to move up to the next level.

Safety Focus: In each class session the instructor will cover one or more of the safety topics listed in order to reinforce the importance of safety around aquatic environments.

Preschool Levels 1 – 3 (Ages 4-5)

School-Age Learn-to-Swim Levels 1 – 6 (Ages 6+)
